A Lifetime

In Lacrosse

Born and raised in Farmingdale, NY, Kim began playing for the Farmingdale Lacrosse Club at 6 years old.

 

She would continue to play competitively through her childhood years to high school. Her passion and dedication enabled her to be part of the #1 Nationally Ranked high school team, while winning two New York Sate Championships and earning All-American honors her senior year.

Becoming a Scarlet Knight

Kim would go on to play Big Ten lacrosse as an attacker on the Rutgers University Women's Lacrosse team. During her career, Kim earned several honors including:

  • 20th player in Rutgers Women's Lacrosse history to reach 100-career milestone (2016)

  • Selected to IWLCA Women's All-Star Game (2016)

  • Finished second on the team in scoring with 32 goals and 15 assists her senior year (2016) 

  • Rutgers Attack Player of the Year (2015)

  • Finished second on the team in scoring with 26 goals and 32 points her junior year(2015)

  • Big East Player of the Week (2014)

  • Finished third on the team in goals (20) and fourth in points (24) her sophomore year (2014)

Joining the Professionals

After playing collegiately, Kim decided to continue her lacrosse career and play at the professional level. During this time, she played as an attacker for the Philadelphia Force, one of four professional lacrosse teams under the United Women's Lacrosse League (UWLX).

From Player to Coach

Upon graduating from the Graduate School of Education at Rutgers University, Kim became the Head Coach for Jefferson Township High School in New Jersey. In just her second season, Kim was named the 2019 New Jersey Herald Coach of the Year. Kim is now the Head Coach of Montclair High School in New Jersey, and is determined to take the Montclair Girls Lacrosse team to the next level.

 

Kim's lifelong dream is to inspire and mentor players throughout the country.

 

With a lifetime dedicated to the game of lacrosse...the best is yet to come.
